The Great Kyoto Martyrdom

A good overview of Tecla's martyrdom and the events surrounding it by a priest at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral (known as "Kawaramachi-Sanjoo" due to its nearest large intersection) in downtown Kyoto.

The Martyrs of Japan

A good overview of all the martyrs of Japan and the various cruel tortures they suffered, but obfuscating the fact that there was only one pregnant woman in all these martyrdoms and not various "pregnant women" as blithely stated in paragraph six.

The Story of the Japanese Martyrs

This article focuses on the martyrdom of Pedro Kibe "whose name is mentioned in the liturgical title of this [Tecla's] martyr's group," which seems to be a cynical maneuver on the part of the modern "Church" to bury Tecla's name beneath that of another heroic martyr.

A New Evangelization In Light of the Great Kyoto Martyrdom, Part I

This was written by the "bishop" of Kyoto, Paul Yoshinao Otsuka, on January 1, 2007.  As you will see by the contents, "A New Evangelization" means nothing less than making sure to deftly avoid any mention of Tecla's pregnancy.

A New Evangelization In Light of the Great Kyoto Martyrdom, Part II

More of the same from "Bishop" Yoshinao, exactly one year later.  One can pile on all the praise one wants of the Kyoto Martyrs, but to not mention Tecla's pregnancy is to do them all--along with all the other martyrs of Japan--a grave disservice.

"Too Philosophical"

My revealing encounter in Nagasaki in August 1995 with Fr. Diego Yuki, S.J., Postulant for the Cause of Canonization of the 52 Martyrs of Kyoto.

The View of St. Alphonsus

An account of Tecla's martyrdom by the great 18th century saint, St. Alphonsus Ligouri (1696-1787).

History Repeats Itself
A comparison between, Christovao Ferreira, the apostate opponent of the underground Catholic Church in Japan during the 17th century, and his American namesake in our day.

A Scriptural Defense for Sedevacantism
This brief article follows on "History Repeats Itself" in showing how the Book of Isaiah gives strong support for the sedevacantist thesis while strongly condemning the "fence-sitters."
