This is a set of storyboards originally conceived for the final scene of my Pacific Ring, although I have decided not to go with it and so am posting them here instead.  It depicts Tecla Hashimoto and her family on the day of their martyrdom -- as conceived by my artist for the production at the time, Alicia Marie del Valle -- in proper narrative sequence (read from left to right, top to bottom).  It shows the family at home in prayer, with their seventh child six months in Tecla's womb.....when the samurai on order of the governor of Miyako -- and behind him, the Emperor of Japan -- suddenly barge into their home to take them prisoner for being Kirishitans (the Japanese word for "Christian").....
